The rooms were clean, and breakfast was very good. Senga is a really kind, caring host, and the price for what you get is top-notch. She even offers a coffee, tea, or a “whiskey” before bed. The bed was a little small, but it was okay. John o' Groats is a short trip away for puffins and plenty of other things to see.

Room 4 had plenty of space, was very clean, and came with an ensuite, double bed, and views over the river thurso. We stayed for three nights, and Senga made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day, with lots of coffee, tea, fruit teas, and chocolate biscuits available too. There was satellite TV as well. The scenery and beaches nearby are stunning. We had an excellent stay and would definitely return if we needed somewhere in the area again.
