Breakfast was included, with both cooked and continental choices, and everything we had was delicious. Our room was spotless, had all the things we needed, and the refreshments and toiletries were topped up when necessary. We could also enjoy lovely coastal views. We came to Harlech out of season for a quiet break, and Tracy and Adam made it especially good. They were kind and thoughtful, and wrote down local suggestions and places to visit for us. Byrdir House would make a great base for exploring North Wales.

We used Byrdir House as a base for Snowdonia and other places around Wales, and the location worked well. The room was clean, and fresh towels, water, and biscuits were put out every day. Breakfast was good, though I did notice an expired yoghurt on display throughout our six-day stay. Apart from that, we had a very pleasant visit. Adam and Tracy were lovely hosts, and I’d recommend the place if you’re after a budget stay in a good location.

Adam and Tracy gave us helpful pointers for our outings, and the location was perfect. They also took my nut allergy seriously, even grilling my toast instead of using the toaster to avoid cross-contamination. That made me feel safe and was much appreciated. The facilities were clean, the beds comfortable, and we got fresh towels each day. Breakfast had yoghurt, cereal, hot dishes from a menu, and several hot and cold drinks. I kept choosing the full Welsh, which was delicious every time, especially the poached egg. The hosts were lovely, and we had a wonderful couple of days.

We stayed in the bungalow and it was superb. A robin came to visit every day, which was a nice bonus. The hosts were amazing, and the pies were great too. The area was lovely and a handy starting point for walks. All in all, a fantastic experience.
