The Waltzing Weasel

Carol made breakfast work beautifully for my vegan girlfriend, despite the challenge of the typical English breakfast. She greeted us warmly, and the rest of our stay was a delight. The rooms are clean and spacious, there's a lovely view, and the location is beautiful with plenty of nearby walking opportunities. We felt at home as soon as we arrived, after being greeted by Smudge, the black-and-white tomcat. A tile at the B&B entrance suggests his approval is needed to get in. We did wonder why there isn't any 'waltzing weasel' merchandise, like T-shirts, given the name. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely room and enjoyed late-afternoon views from the garden while eating our takeaway. The traditional breakfasts were freshly cooked to each person's preference, and Carol paid close attention to making our stay what we'd hoped for. Everyone was friendly and easy to approach, and we couldn't fault the service, room, setting, staff attitude or location from arrival to departure. We'll certainly return, and wish WW many more years.

Carol gave us a lovely welcome and was a wonderful host. The room was lovely, we slept really well, and breakfast was faultless. They even had proper cold milk for the tea and coffee in the room. The shower pressure was a bit low, but it did the job.

Breakfast was freshly made and lovely. Carol served it with the same friendly energy, and while we waited there was a Full English plus cereal and fruit to choose from. It set us up nicely for a long hike in the Peak District. We also woke to amazing views of kinder scout, and there were binoculars on the windowsill to get a better look at the area. Carol was a fantastic hostess, and we felt relaxed and welcome as soon as we rang the 'ring' doorbell, even though we were told we were too early to come in 😂!! The rooms were spotless, the beds comfortable and the shower lovely. We had a great night's sleep. This was easily the best B&B I've ever stayed at.
