I liked how quiet it was here, and the facilities were good. The location worked well for me, so I’ll definitely book again. For groceries, there’s a Tesco express a couple of minutes’ drive away in Stokenchurch, plus a large supermarket down the road in High Wycombe.

Andy was around if we needed anything, and even emailed to say we could arrive early because our tent was ready. He’s a lovely owner, and the land and facilities are very well kept. We went camping with our 4 year old and 16 month old for the first time, and this setup made it much easier. The bell tent had comfortable beds, clean facilities and incredible views, plus thoughtful touches like a tea light chandelier, steel kettle, electric candles, and plenty of cutlery and cooking utensils. The secure, ventilated log burner gave off loads of heat and kept the kids comfortable. We’ll book again and bring more family.

The views across the rolling hills were remarkable, and the location is great. But finding your own pitch made the stay stressful for us and other guests. People were still arriving at 21:30 and trying to find somewhere to set up, with no staff there to manage check-in. There’s no minimum spacing between pitches and campfires aren’t policed. It feels like a disaster waiting to happen.

A small, really peaceful place to camp, and the service was much better than I expected. We never found ourselves short of soap or toilet paper. The only drawback was the fridge, which didn’t stay as cool as we’d hoped, though I understand it’s used by everyone all the time. I’d definitely recommend it 💯

We’ve been coming back for over 13 years, staying in our touring caravan, a tent, and glamping tents. Each visit has been enjoyable in its own way. The site feels relaxed because guests are trusted to use the space without constant policing, while the facilities are reliably clean and well maintained year after year. That balance is a big reason we return so often. It’s a welcoming, well-run spot for camping or caravanning, and I’d recommend it.
