Premier Inn Hinckley

After my stay, I found that my credit card had been charged twice for the same booking. I explained what had happened and asked the hotel to refund the duplicate payment, but they refused, even though I gave them all the details. They were rigid and uncooperative. I expected some basic goodwill and help in this situation. I found the hotel unfair and unfriendly to customers, and strongly wouldn't recommend it. I'd booked two rooms for one night through the hotel's website. The page froze and closed on its own while I was trying to finish the booking, and no confirmation email arrived. I waited two days and tried calling, but couldn't reach anyone over the weekend. Since it was urgent and important, I went ahead and confirmed the booking. Very disappointing. It's surprising that a large hotel chain would seem so greedy for money.

The room was clean and adequate, and the location made it really easy to get around Hinckley. But as a woman travelling alone, I was uneasy about the door lock, especially after the recent news story about a woman assaulted by a stranger in the other hotel. I arrived and realised I'd made a silly mistake by leaving my overnight bag at home. The reception team were understanding, friendly and very helpful. Claire lent me a phone charger so I could make the trip home knowing I had a working mobile in case of an emergency. The staff at the associated Brewers Fayre were kind too when I joked about the situation. I was impressed by how helpful everyone was.

Breakfast was a treat, looking out over the Coventry Canal and watching the barges go by. My stay was very relaxing, with a spacious room and a really lovely bathroom. Reception staff were helpful when I asked them to sort out a couple of room-related things. I enjoyed my visit, thank you! 😁⛴️🛶🏞️🕶️☀️

The reception team were very friendly, and the beds were comfortable. It was a pleasant last-minute stay, with a quiet evening and the excellent accommodation I'd expect from Premier Inn. I'll stay again next time I'm in the area.
