The place was full and buzzing inside and out, which made for a lovely Sunday afternoon. Even with how busy it was, the staff made us feel welcome and the service was great. Three of us had roast pork and one had beef. Both meats, the vegetables and the Yorkshire pudding tasted excellent, and the portions were generous without the Yorkshire taking over the plate. The Sunday roast really delivered. We’ll be back for another. Thank you, and well done.

The White Hart had good reviews and was about equally distant from our home and our friends’ place, so it worked out perfectly. We stayed in the aviary, and the room and food were both just right. But the customer service was the highlight, truly the best. I hardly ever call a hotel, restaurant or pub faultless, but yesterday I could. Five stars all round. Thanks, we’ll be back. The staff really made us feel welcome, and the service was lovely. I hadn’t had a pub Sunday roast in ages, so I was glad this one lived up to it. The roast chicken was amazing, everything tasted excellent and the portion was a good size. Incredible roast. Thanks so much.

The pub itself and the staff were lovely when we came in for a drink during our Christmas break works do on the 19th. But a rowdy group took over, loud and obnoxious, getting aggressive and in people’s faces. They were intimidating to be around, and it was obvious to everyone there. A lot of us left because of them. I felt sorry for the two bar staff dealing with one of the busiest nights of the year. They did the best they could in that situation, but there should have been at least some attempt to deal with the group. It clearly spoiled the evening for everyone else in the pub.

Willow looked after us all evening and was chatty and really personable. The food and drinks came promptly, and both the service and food were lovely. We booked dinner at The White Hart at the last minute, so the quality and good value for money were a very pleasant surprise. We’ll definitely come back!
