I'm reviewing the beer served here. I just had a fantastic pint of Farmers blond at the Boot and shoe Scholes, the best I've had. Then I walked down to the Red Lion and had the worst pint of Farmers Blond. Please get your beer sorted, it's cloudy and flat, and more expensive too?

A lovely local pub in a beautiful setting, with a beer garden that gets the sun. Highly recommended. Keep an eye out for local talented artist making appearances too.

I called into the red lion this evening and found a great atmosphere and a bartender who really knew their stuff. I went for the framers blond, and wow, what a crystal clear pint. This pub knows what there about. It's not far from Holmfirth, well worth a visit.

My partner and I spent a couple of lovely evenings here while visiting Jackson Bridge for the weekend. It's a cosy pub where we felt welcome. We enjoyed the beers and the nice chats with the locals, and we'd certainly come back.

The menu was a welcome change from usual pub food, with plenty of variety and everything well prepared. Our group of six had a room to ourselves and the team looked after us so well, including a complimentary meal and wine. After a bad experience last month, tonight was a really lovely evening. Thanks to Greg and the team, we’ll be back and would happily recommend it.
