The family members who stayed overnight at The Old Market Inn felt welcome and well looked after. They enjoyed having evening meals together and left saying how nice the Inn was. We’d asked the owners and staff to cater for a funeral gathering, and they were incredibly accommodating, putting on a lovely selection of food. Everyone there remarked on how good the spread was and how lovely the venue and staff were. They’ve been fantastic to us and our family, and are a real asset to the town. We can’t thank them enough.

We stayed for two nights and were given a really warm welcome by Ian and Cath. The twin room was clean, comfortable and excellent, and there’s a small car park behind the building. Breakfast wasn’t obvious at first, but you just order and pay for whatever you want to eat. Evening meals were generous and nicely cooked. I’d happily stay here again.

Five of us left very happy! The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff friendly and the prices reasonable. We had burgers, ham, egg and chips, and sea bream with tiger prawns and asparagus. Finished with locally sourced ice cream.

We all went for the Thai curry and it was really flavourful. There’s a good range on the menu, from traditional pub grub to dishes you don’t always see, like that curry. We had a lovely meal and would definitely recommend it.

We went for lunch midweek on 14 August 2025, four of us, and were the only people in the restaurant. The food was good and the staff friendly. We chose burgers and pork belly. It came to £18-20 each for food and one non-alcoholic drink. Recommend.
