The campsite takes yearly pitches, and everyone is very friendly. The food in the club house is great. It is a bit of a drive to get anywhere, which is the one downside, but it's ideal if you want a quiet, remote break. There's a donkey sanctuary next door too.

We got a takeaway from the bar and it was really good, especially the lovely fresh chips. The caravan was well equipped, though the cooker and saucepans took ages to cook anything and the utensils felt a bit floppy. That’s my only quibble. We visited in June, when it was quiet, just how we like it. The gas fire had a problem, but it was fixed within a few hours of me reporting it, which was great.

This was our second stay, and we love the place. The park is so quiet and the surroundings are beautiful. Our caravan had central heating and double glazing, and we could bring our German Shepherd too. The food is amazing, and the shop has the usual essentials along with homemade jams and other things. Maria and her husband are wonderful hosts and always make you feel welcome.

There are several nice pub restaurants and two fish and chip shops in Holsworthy Town, about three miles away, along with a Chinese takeaway and an Indian restaurant. The caravan site itself is well established and lovely. Bude is only 8 miles away and has two lovely beaches.

Maria and Mark, the owners, are very friendly. The caravan park is lovely and clearly well looked after, with a little shop selling most things and a bar/cafe on site.
