We were walking the Wales Coast path, and this place is about a mile uphill from it, but the walk was worth it. It's close to Holywell centre, where you can get your evening meal. Breakfast is do-it-yourself, and there's even an egg boiler that actually works, as we found out. The slightly quirky B&B has an excellent host and good facilities. B&B guests have a separate lounge as well as a bedroom with a bathroom. I'd never slept on a water bed before, but honestly it wasn't that odd.

Paul was a great, very helpful host during our lovely overnight stay. Our room was comfortable, and the private lounge was well equipped with a fridge, kettle and TV with Netflix. We had plenty of tea and coffee, plus milk, fresh orange juice, toast, cereal, boiled eggs and some lovely chocolate brownies. The price was very reasonable, and it was a great place for us to start the North Wales Pilgrims Walk.

Paul made us feel so welcome and comfortable at the start of our walk on the Pilgrim's Way. The rooms were lovely and very clean, and the water bed was an adventure! It was great having our own little lounge, and the place is really well situated in town.

Not for us. One word: stinking. It wasn't clean, and the host jane was constantly on the wine. Paul was okay. Sorry, folks, stay away.
