OYO Rayanne House Guest Accommodation

We happened upon Rayanne House by chance, and it felt like it was meant to be. Conor was a friendly, welcoming host, and everyone on staff was lovely. Our top-floor queen room was wonderfully spacious, with a balcony looking over the garden and Belfast Lough. The sunsets were amazing. The bed was comfortable, the linen was good quality, and the room and bathroom had all sorts of lovely little extras. Breakfast was amazing too, with tasty starters followed by mains. Rayanne House has a special place in our hearts, and we’ll definitely be back.

The area was quiet and peaceful, and I slept well for all three nights. Free parking was convenient, though there’s no daily housekeeping. My room was small, dark, and pokey, and I felt I’d drawn the short straw. There was a used towel left in the bathroom by the previous guests. When I told reception, the person apologised but didn’t offer to remove it, so I had to carry it down myself. The shower wasn’t working properly either, with a twist in the pipe so the water only trickled out. Reception gave me a key to another room so I could use its shower. That room was like another hotel, perfect, and I wished it had been mine. Its shower was better, though still not the best.

We stayed for just under a week while in town for a wedding at the Ulster Folk Museum. The place was cozy, charming, and very clean, and the breakfasts were delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. The nearest shop is a bit of a walk, so having a car might be better, but it was totally worth the stay.

The staff were lovely, and the rooms all had their own different, cool feel. Our group of nine plus one extra person was accommodated really well. We’ve been on a two-week trip around England and Ireland, and dinner here was easily my favourite meal of it. Every course beat my expectations and left me satisfied, and the price was very reasonable for what you get. If I’m back in Belfast, Rayanne House will be my first choice.
