The Continental Hotel and Spa, Heathrow

I keep coming back because the people make the stay feel welcoming and personal. Rasham is really attentive and checks that things are going smoothly, while Samson is always polite and easy to approach. They’re both friendly and glad to help with whatever I need. Thanks to them for the great service again. It’s staff like that who make me happy to return.

The location is ideal, about a two-minute walk from Hounslow city centre, and Hounslow Central tube is roughly three or four minutes away. From there you can get into central London, near Hyde Park, Edgware Road, and Oxford Street. The staff were exceptionally polite, and the room was clean and well looked after. The leisure facilities were easy to reach too. A very good hotel, definitely recommend.

We arrived at night and the customer service was awful. The staff spoke to us as if they were angry instead of smiling or speaking nicely. The lift was so tiny that even two people couldn’t fit. Housekeeping opened the door without permission, saying it was checkout time. What kind of manners is that? There was a spider on the blanket, the room smelled bad as soon as we walked in, and the bathroom tap didn’t work properly. Even using the bathroom came with irritating noises. The fire alarm was covered with socks. They charged £20 for parking, which felt like a waste of money on top of the terrible service. Worst experience in a dirty hotel. I’ll never visit again, and I’d tell others not to waste their money here.

I booked a room for one night with my toddler. They charged extra to move us from a double room to a higher category, but the new room had no cot or extra bed, so I don’t understand what the charge was for. The room was noisy, the floor creaked, and the air conditioning didn’t work properly, making it very warm. The good thing is that the hotel is close to Hounslow Central station. In general, I wouldn’t recommend it for a family or leisure stay.
