The place was so cramped that even the sink felt tiny. I could touch the ceiling with my head while lying in bed, and the beds were too short, with my feet sticking out. Sleeping there brought back the feeling of being under a table as a kid. It smelled unpleasant, and the cleaning was so poor I felt I could do better with my eyes closed. At least the TV and internet worked. I’d booked a five-bed apartment and got what felt like a troll house.

The location was good, and the smart TVs were a nice feature, but the flat needed a proper clean. There was dust and dirt tucked away in hidden spots, the towel rail was rusty and grimy, and blonde hairs were all over the place when we arrived. It also reeked of cigarettes. The heating didn’t work, and the blow heater wasn’t working properly either, so we were cold at night. The mattress was completely flat and felt like sleeping on wooden planks. Please sort it out.

The hosts made me feel as if I was visiting old friends. The chicken in Riesling and slow-cooked pork were lovely, too. I’ll definitely be back.

Hardly any of the light bulbs worked, and the place was dirty. The mattresses smelled awful and were disgusting.
