White House on Wye Glamping

After cold, wet days out walking, coming back to a warm, cosy cabin made the holiday. The hare cabin was comfortable, with a wood burner, a private living area and lovely surroundings, close to plenty of good walks. We had a couple of small issues with the solar power generators, which we expected in winter, but the warden kindly came over on their day off and quickly sorted the battery problems. Definitely recommend it for a walking break with somewhere relaxing to return to.

The kids loved having things to do away from screens, especially the beach, cricket, swing, hammock and trample. The surroundings were beautiful, with birdsong, and the staff were so kind. Thanks for having us, we’ll be back.

Steve deserves a mention for being on hand, sorting out a few minor issues and making us feel welcome. We loved our two-night festive break at White House Hideaway in the Pheasant cabin with our dog. The cabin was surprisingly spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed, plus an easy log burner, hot tub and fire pit. The quiet, rolling field gave our dog plenty of room to roam outside the cabin. We’d definitely recommend WHH, and suggest staying for at least two nights to enjoy everything there is to offer.

The cabin felt like a home away from home, with a fully equipped kitchen so I could make whatever meals I needed. Everything was spotlessly clean, comfortable and well organized. I stayed with my husband, our 3-month-old twins and our 3-year-old, and choosing this nature getaway was a great decision. We had such a lovely, relaxing time roasting marshmallows and making memories together. It exceeded my expectations, and we can’t wait to come back.
