We’d definitely recommend Lakeside to anyone and will return. It’s such a peaceful gem in beautiful surroundings. Eve welcomed us and showed us to an outstanding room, pristine, spacious and beautifully presented. At breakfast we saw Eve again and she looked after us so well, we wanted for nothing. We only met Clive briefly, as he was out walking the dogs when we arrived and we had a hectic weekend planned, but he was extremely helpful and friendly. Thanks for a wonderful stay, Karl and Sonya.

Clive gave us plenty of information about things to do nearby, and made us feel very welcome. The location is a five minute walk from the beach, with places to eat and drink within walking distance. Our family room had the wow factor, with lots of space, a great view, and it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast isn’t cooked, but there’s a good choice and fresh hot drinks. The pool table in the lounge was a big hit with our boys.

The family room was amazing, spotlessly clean and so quiet, with lovely lake views. It had everything we could need, and the continental breakfast was just right. My wife was hoping for a sausage in the morning but was well satisfied with two boiled eggs and yoghurt. A warm, friendly welcome too. We don’t want to go home!

Clive made us feel at home as soon as we met him. Our room was clean, looked very nice and had everything we needed. There was plenty on the breakfast menu, and it was very good. We had such a good time that we’ve booked to come back.

After our wedding nearby, Lakeside was a peaceful place to wake up and start the next day. The room was great, with a wonderful view, breakfast was delicious, and the hosts were so kind and hospitable. Clive was extremely accommodating with our hectic wedding schedule. We’d planned for someone to check in on our behalf but completely forgot, so he arranged a way for us to get into our room after hours following the reception. I’d highly recommend Lakeside to anyone visiting the area.
