The King's Lodge Hotel

I’ve eaten here a few times now, and the food has been delicious every time. The plates are decorated beautifully and everything looks really clean. The head chef deserves a big well done. He runs the place so professionally that I’d take him to work at my own restaurant if I could. The company should appreciate him. I’d definitely recommend coming here for a meal with family. Keep it up!

We needed a place to stay overnight for an evening event in St Albans, and the room worked perfectly for us, with a double and a single bed. It was comfortable and had a lovely view. The hotel was nice, and the staff made us feel welcome.

The cottage-style rooms were cosy, and the beds and everything else in the room worked fine. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner, but it was manageable for one night. Food was especially good for reasonable prices, with great evening choices, particularly the pies. Breakfast at £10 was a bargain. The staff were warm and welcoming all day, especially waitress Sue, who was always ready to help. The location’s great for the Warner Bros Studio Tour, and the service was hard to fault. I’d definitely stay again.

We stopped for a meal on the way to the harry potter studio. The pork belly was amazing, and the portion was generous. They’ve also got a lovely beer garden.
