Lastingham Grange

We had a great lunch and are already thinking about our next visit. The menu had plenty of choice, prices were good, and it was a pleasure to sit in the restaurant. The cloakroom and dining areas were very clean. We didn’t stay overnight, but this was a lovely place to discover. Make time for a walk around the large, beautiful garden. Our host was friendly and welcomed us warmly, then sent us off just as nicely. Thank you.

A relaxed atmosphere, with attentive service that never got in the way. The food was great, and the gardens are beautiful. The staff and owners were welcoming and friendly. It has that classic English charm.

The lounge was such a relaxed place to enjoy afternoon tea, and there were so many ornaments to look at that we could have stayed for hours and still missed some. The sandwiches and homemade cakes were delicious, and the service took care of everything we needed. We booked afternoon tea with Prosecco, and arriving felt like stepping back in time. We half expected Miss Marple to appear. The gentleman at reception was friendly and took time to chat, which doesn’t always happen in hotels. I’d recommend this place to friends and family without hesitation. Thanks for a lovely afternoon. We’ll definitely return.

We had a really special day, thanks in large part to the lovely service. We were a group of five for afternoon tea at Lastingham grange, and the family who own the place were so kind and accommodating. They made us feel welcome and took time to chat with us. The grounds are beautiful, and the village and surrounding area are breathtaking. Thank you.
