Harbour Cottage

The staff were brilliant and so accommodating, and the rooms were clean and tidy. Breakfast was gorgeous and there was plenty of it. I stayed back in June and it was one of the best experiences I've had anywhere, whether travelling for work or pleasure. Next time my group and I are in Ilfracombe, we'll definitely use the Harcourt Hotel again. Thanks for a brilliant stay, guys! Regards, Jack

Kirsty went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed during my stay, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. It's great value for money, right in the heart of Ilfracombe but on a quiet street. The garden terrace has lovely views of Capstone, and breakfast was delicious. I'd happily return.

I had to extend my time in Devon because of a rail strike, so booking the Harcourt Hotel was a last-minute decision. I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable price and how clean and well run the hotel was. It's right in the middle of Ilfracombe on Fore Street, and they were happy to accommodate my bike. My room had everything I needed. There are some very good fish and chip places nearby. For dinner, Terrace Tapas is just a few doors down and is excellent, though booking is definitely recommended. Take Thyme and the S&P fish shop and café are two good seafood options for lunch, but they only open during the day.

John and Kirsty were great hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel had a comfortable, clean feel, the people were lovely, and the service was fabulous. Delicious breakfast too, and a great location for getting around Ilfracombe.
