The village is beautiful and peaceful, and the locals are friendly. Nicky, the landlady, gave us such a warm, jolly welcome when we arrived. Nothing felt like too much effort. We had a great time joining the local quiz night, held on the first Sunday of the month. Hope to stay again someday.

A quaint little pub with a car park, and the lady who served us was really friendly. The food was good, though the vegetarian and vegan choices could be a bit more imaginative. There were only three red wines to choose from. I can see why they might keep stock limited out in the sticks. I couldn’t find a menu anywhere, so I’ve included the May 2025 menu here for anyone interested. They also have specials on the board. I can recommend the pub.

The hosts were amazing, and every staff member went out of their way to welcome us and our fur babies. The food was excellent and the rooms were brilliant. I’d really recommend this pub and hope to return soon.

I booked this place for its location near work and the earlier reviews. It’s a lovely, typical English country pub, and the hosts made me feel welcome. I arrived in the middle of storm Herminia, when it seemed no food places would be open. The landlady told me not to worry, that she had some lasagne left over with garlic bread and would bring it to my room. That’s great service. Thank you very much.
