The staff were friendly, polite, and happy to chat, and breakfast was fabulous. I may have had the best black pudding of my life there. We stopped for one night at the start of our NC500 motorbike trip in early May. The room was clean and great, with comfy beds and hot water. The shower took a bit of fiddling to get the temperature right, but it was no big deal. Dinner was a fabulous venison burger, followed by a couple of pints outside. We’ll definitely be back.

The dinner and breakfast staff were good, and they went the extra mile with requests. The food was good too, especially breakfast, and the chicken was halal. I stayed at Tuckers for two nights. The room service was disappointing: they asked whether I wanted the room cleaned, and even after I said yes, they didn’t replace the towels. They put back the towels I’d left on the toilet floor, which is ridiculous. They also didn’t top up the shower gel or biscuits. If those run out during a two-night stay, you have to refill them yourself. That’s basic customer service. I hope they improve those points and keep up the good things. Parking is free, but at your own risk.

The breakfast was huge and included, and the rooms were spotless with comfy beds. Such a gem for the price. I’d highly recommend it and would love to stay again.

The location made it easy to explore the area, and the staff were so friendly. I stayed for a week last August, and the food was great. They even brought me cheese after breakfast for my birthday, lol.
