The dinner and breakfast staff were good and tried to go the extra mile with every request. The food was good, breakfast especially, and the chicken was halal. Parking is free, at your own risk. Room cleaning needs attention. Even after I said yes when asked if I wanted the room cleaned, my towels weren’t replaced. They put back the towels I’d left on the toilet floor, which is ridiculous. The shower gel and biscuit pack weren’t replenished either. For a two-night stay, you shouldn’t have to refill these yourself when they run out. That’s basic customer service. I hope they improve these points and keep doing the things they’re already doing well.

Was up for work and was delighted with the service. The food was absolutely amazing, the beer was great and the room was good and cosy. Rebekah gave absolutely first-class service too. Thanks very much.

Our group ordered a venison bacon burger, charred chicken, a thick-cut sandwich, and tomato and roasted red pepper soup. Everything was outstanding, and we added local ales and stouts to go with it. The host and chef were humble and appreciative when we complimented them. It’s a bit of a walk from the cruise port, but well worth the extra steps.

Breakfast came with the stay and had four hot choices, including scrambled eggs with salmon and a full Scottish, plus a continental spread of tea, coffee, croissants, fruit, yoghurt, cornflakes and juice. I liked my room overall. It was generally clean, with a comfortable bed that seemed new and had a good mattress, about 180 cm long. The other furniture was a little old, especially the TV, an ancient cheap smart TV, but you don’t really need a TV to enjoy your stay. The bathroom was private and within my room as a separate room, though not exactly en-suite. The shower and toilet were good. A nice place in Invergordon, basically a B&B with a cafe.

2025.08, Tuckers Inn Restaurant, Invergordon. Stopped here conveniently on the way home. The food and service were very good, the atmosphere was nice, and there was a nice view across the Cromarty Firth.
