Avalon

Avalon is such a lovely B&B, and I felt at home there during my couple of nights in town for the Loch Ness Marathon. They even made breakfast available early for everyone before the race, which was very kind. The place was spotless, with loads of little things that made a difference. My room had makeup remover wipes, a small bottle of sherry to try, locally baked cupcakes, local soap, and even an eye mask and ear plugs for light sleepers. There was also the usual tea tray and kettle, hairdryer, and so on. Booking somewhere I’d never seen before made me a bit nervous, but all the rave reviews make sense. It’s a lovely place to stay.

Val and Paul were very good hosts, and breakfast was great. They were happy to suggest places to visit and eat. The guest house was beautiful, clean, and tidy, with parking on the property and an easy walk into town.

The owners were delightful, and breakfast was delicious. My daughter and I both tried the French toast with fresh fruit and loved it. Our room at the Avalon was immaculate and really cute, with thoughtful little details like chocolates and a teddy bear to indicate whether cleaning was wanted. We’d stay again in a heartbeat, 10/10.

Paul and Val were lovely, and you can see all the hard work they put into the place. We’ll be back! Avalon was a great choice for Inverness, just a short walk from the town centre. The room was spotless and comfortable, with plenty of wardrobe and storage space, and breakfast was amazing. There was lots to choose from and everything we tried was lovely. COYI ⚒
