For a solo traveller like me, Fraser House was simply perfect. Leah is warm, outgoing and clearly cares about the house and her guests. She cooks a lovely breakfast and is ready to help with whatever you need while in Inverness. The house is quite old, but the renovation has been done with taste and skill. My stay was well worth the reasonable price. I usually pick different places on return trips to a region for a change of experience, but I can’t see a reason to do that here.

The B&B sits beside the river Ness, and my room looked out along the river towards some local attractions. Leah had parking permits for guests, so I could park very close by, which was especially handy with my golf clubs. I had a great stay at Fraser house on my trip to the Scottish Highlands. The recent renovation work gives the place a boutique feel and a high standard of finish. My room was well equipped, with good WiFi and amenities. On both mornings Leah cooked a lovely full Scottish breakfast using very good produce. I especially liked the haggis and black pudding. At £12.50, it’s very good value compared with going to a cafe or coffee shop. I’ll definitely stay here again on my trip up next year.

We’ve stayed regularly at Fraser House for the past decade, including before Leah took over. Over time, Leah has become a friend. She’s a wonderful host and nothing is too much trouble. Her porridge is superb, and the cooked full breakfast is scrummy. There are always plenty of continental choices too. The location is central but quiet, near shops, amenities and plenty of restaurants. Leah can advise you on where to eat. The rooms and main stairway have recently been upgraded, with lovely decor that feels modern while keeping a traditional Scottish Highlands style. Rooms are serviced daily, and there’s always plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits for a mid-evening snack. Highly recommended!

Leah was the best host, and the room was beautiful. Fantastic stay, a must if you’re in Inverness!

We stayed at Fraser House with a group of friends, and every room faced the river. The house is right beside the water, making it a great base for exploring the north of Scotland. Each room had a large TV, and the recent renovation has given the rooms a lovely mix of modern style and old chic. Leah was a great host, and breakfast was great too. It was a perfect stay, and we’ll definitely visit again. Thank you!
