I was passing through on my way to Orkney and stayed just one night. Everything in the room was there as described and worked properly, and breakfast was really good. It was a great experience for the money.

The owner was very hospitable, and breakfast was so huge it left me completely full and satisfied. We enjoyed our short stay here. The place was clean and quiet, with a good bed and everything equipped. My only small complaint was the shower, which didn’t mix the water very well.

It looks lovely, and the rooms are nice, but after four hours here the whole guest house reeks of weed. The smell is through the corridors and in both rooms we booked, and seems to be getting stronger as the evening goes on. There’s also a constant drip-drip of running water in the toilet in my room. The float doesn’t seem to rise far enough to stop it.

It’s a small guest house in a peaceful area, about a 20-minute walk from the town centre. Check-in was quick, and my room was spotless and comfortable, with a good bed and shower. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was very good. The owners were friendly.

Good value, clean and well stocked, with friendly staff. It was quiet and comfortable too. The beds felt particularly small, and the shower wasn’t great, but those things didn’t spoil my stay. I’d come back.
