We felt welcome as soon as we arrived. The couple running this cosy B&B are so kind and attentive, and you can tell they put care into making guests feel at home. Our room was charming, clean and comfortable, just what we wanted. Breakfast was delicious each morning, and the whole place had a peaceful, personal feel. Two happy Danes! We'd love to come back, and highly recommend it.

I can't really review the place itself since it was fully booked when I arrived to ask about a room. I would have loved to stay, though. The owner was lovely and helpful when I stopped by to see if anything was available.

Angela was such a caring hostess and made sure I was doing okay. When I fell ill one evening and was stuck in bed, she offered to drive to her favourite restaurant and bring me something to eat. She also brought me the best chicken soup I've ever had. The beds were really comfortable, too. I'd book here again without hesitation if I'm in the area.

We were left waiting two hours to get back into our room after they took our key in the morning, and there was nobody available to let us in. The room was cold, as they said they didn't put the heat on because it was too expensive. They also wouldn't give us ice. Breakfast was mediocre at best.

The hostess was rude and racist toward our multi-ethnic group. She asked intrusive questions and patronized people, saying they couldn't be Scottish because they weren't white. She also made a disgusting insinuation that a child in our group had woken late because she'd been up with her boyfriend. Our sink and shower drains were blocked and very slow, and the water was freezing. When we came back from dinner, before the curfew she'd set, the hostess was annoyed and shrieked at us to "get up stairs!" She refused us a hot breakfast even though a white French couple was served one. When we asked for tea and hot water, she gave us a hard time and said we'd already been given coffee, though only one person in our group drinks it.
