Perry was fabulous and very accommodating. Getting a taxi from our wedding venue was a nightmare, so he arranged a lift for us. We spent the weekend at Holbeck House after having our wedding elsewhere, and loved the peaceful location and stunning views. There are places to sit and take in the scenery with a glass or two, and we enjoyed the birds and wildlife in the garden. The house has real character, history and an antique vintage vibe. Breakfast was delicious, and Jess, who picked us up and served us, is lovely. It’s a lovely home run by lovely people. I’d recommend it and hope we’ll return.

Our bedroom and bathroom were both spacious and comfortable. The interiors had a charming English countryside feel, and each room seemed to have its own story. It was a five-star stay and a lovely escape from the ordinary.

The owner was incredibly helpful, and breakfast was cooked fresh for us, hot and tasty. This is a charming old period house with lovely grounds. The rooms are generous in size and very clean. It’s about a mile from the high street, though the drive is full of potholes and very dark.

We liked it so much that we added another night to our stay. The welcome was warm and wonderful, and the house was very comfortable, full of beautiful antiques. Our bedroom was huge, the grounds were beautiful, and breakfast was lovely. We happened to be the only guests, along with our dog.

Hadleigh is just a stone’s throw away, a picturesque, quaint town, and the house is a delightful place to stay nearby. Perry was a great host and did everything he could for us. The family who own it were among the nicest, most welcoming people I’ve met. It’s an elegant, classy period house in a lovely setting, with a perfect breakfast made from fresh, locally sourced food. Great value for money, and I’d highly recommend this B&B.
