Woodhall Manor

We knew Woodhall Manor was the one at our first viewing, the third venue we’d seen. We held a date and cancelled all the other viewings straight away. Lorraine and the team were so helpful in the early planning, with regular update emails, useful and fantastic showcases, and costs split up so they were easy to keep track of. From our final planning meeting through the wedding day, Georgia was sensational. When things were in the wrong place, she sorted them without fuss. She kept us on schedule, but we never felt rushed. Nearly three months later, people still tell us it was the best wedding they’d been to, and we agree. Guests loved the Garden Room, the simple but effective change from day to night, and the food. Everything was amazing, beyond what we’d hoped for. The one real snag was the DJ. We’d given a “do not play” and “must play” list, but songs from the no-play list still came on, so my maid of honour had to ask for changes a few times. I believe we had the alternative DJ rather than the in-house one, so maybe the list hadn’t been passed on. It didn’t spoil the day, but it’s something future couples may want to know. Thanks to the whole team at Woodhall, especially Georgia, for making our wedding so good.

Photographing Meg and Roly's NYE wedding was a pleasure. Woodhall Manor is a superb setting, especially for a winter celebration. The house looks stunning, and when the light fades, the elegant, characterful interiors make a warm, atmospheric backdrop for documentary-style photos. The move from the romantic ceremony to the lively NYE party went smoothly. Staff were professional and attentive, and kept everything on time, which matters for a mid-winter wedding with a midnight countdown. If you want a Suffolk venue with historic charm and a great party space, I’d recommend Woodhall Manor. I can’t wait to return!

The whole team went above and beyond, and we couldn’t have asked for more. We hope to come back for an anniversary. The opening day was a last-minute visit after we’d struggled to find somewhere that ticked all our boxes. Lorraine showed us around and was lovely and really knowledgeable. The venue is stunning, just right for our Christmas-themed wedding, and the Garden Lounge sold us when we saw it set up for the evening party. The lead-up was brilliant: emails got prompt replies, and we loved both the food tasting and showcase. Georgia was our wedding coordinator and was outstanding. There were a few problems that morning, caused by us rather than the venue, but she dealt with everything so smoothly that I didn’t know about any of it until the next morning. On the day, the staff were amazing and the service exceptional. They made us feel like VIPs, kept drinks coming and set aside canapés so we wouldn’t miss them. The wedding breakfast looked beautiful, and it was incredible to see our vision come to life. I loved watching staff serve each table together during the meal. The food tasted amazing too. Guests loved the Garden Lounge, and our first dance beneath the décor felt magical. The in-house DJ was friendly and brilliant, and the bedrooms each had their own character, which we and our guests loved. Thank you to everyone at Woodhall Manor.

We got married in August 2025, and Woodhall Manor gave us the day we’d always dreamed of. From the first visit, we were blown away and knew it was right for us. Throughout the planning, the staff were helpful and accommodating, and made sure things never became too stressful. Jade, our wedding coordinator, was amazing. She handled the setup, kept the timings just right and made sure everything went as planned. I couldn’t imagine having our wedding anywhere better. ❤️
