We came in the off season and had a wonderful time. The breakfast setup was amazing, and the staff looked after us. My wife and I also had an absolute blast in the attached pub with the locals and the loud-mouthed bartender. ;)

I loved staying here. It's in a great spot for visiting the distilleries, and our clean, well-kept room was a pleasure to come back to. The staff were always smiling and went out of their way to help with anything.

The room was clean and nice, and the friendly staff served a delicious hot breakfast quickly. It's a great location for Port Ellen. You should stay here.

Coco checked us in and was also the bartender that night. She was friendly, knew a lot, and was an incredible mixologist. The property is extremely well maintained, and being right in the middle of everything with such fantastic staff made our Islay vacation feel memorable from the start.

The ferry was cancelled, so we couldn't reach the island until after our booking had expired. We foolishly hadn't bought insurance. The hotel wouldn't work with us at all and referred us to booking.com, leaving us in an endless loop. If we're stranded on the mainland, people are stranded on the island and need to keep their rooms, which should have been ours. It feels like they're double-dipping and they weren't willing to help us in any way. Never again. Get hotel insurance.
