From the Lodge, you can set off on a hike or reach the other parts of Isle of Arran without a long drive. We had such a lovely few days here. Cath and Mac made us feel completely at home, and Mac's dinners were so good we'd definitely recommend eating there. Breakfast was just right too, and the spot in Lochcranza, just behind the golf course, is hard to beat.

We spent three nights here in June 2025 and really enjoyed the setting, with lovely views across the golf course and easy access to walks and countryside. Lochranza is small but has plenty of interest, and you might spot the local deer. Cath and Mac made us feel welcome from the start. We ate in each evening, with Mac cooking and Cath serving, and the meals were excellent. The full Scottish breakfast was just as good, made with local ingredients and cooked beautifully.

UPDATE: Cath & Mac are still there till Oct 20th... We were among the last guests while Cathy and Mac were running the place. Really enjoyed our stay: the rooms were very clean, breakfast was lovely, and the location was amazing.

The views were just wow, and it's a great base for exploring the isle. Golfers would find it handy too, with all the courses within an hour's drive. It was our first stay, and everything was excellent, from the comfortable rooms and house to the hospitality from the owners.

We'd happily stay again. Cath and Mac were so friendly and accommodating, and our room was lovely. We even spotted deer from the window. Breakfast was included, freshly cooked and excellent value, and dinner was delicious too. The bus stop and Arran distillery are nearby, and Lochranza centre is an easy, fairly short walk away.
