The Kings Head

We were two adults, one child, and a dog, and the rooms had clearly had a recent refurbishment. The beds were comfortable, and the shower was clean and worked really well. Nothing to fault in the room. We didn't eat or drink at the pub, but really enjoyed breakfast the next morning, and the owners were lovely. I'd definitely recommend staying here. Ignore the older comments about the rooms.

Michelle, the landlady, was there to greet us and put us at ease straight away. My boss and I had to find somewhere at the last minute after an unexpected job came up in Cambridge, and I was lucky to find this gem close to work. It felt like a home from home. I'd highly recommend it as a clean, simple, friendly place to stop over.

The room in their B&B was comfortable and clean for my one-night stay, with a TV, fan, mini fridge, and tea and coffee. The only letdown was breakfast: nobody mentioned it, and all there was in the room was a packaged croissant, a pot of yogurt, and a banana. That felt a little below what I expected. Otherwise, I was happy. The staff were friendly and there was a good selection of beer, though they aren't serving food at the moment. There are enough places to eat in town if you get hungry.

Fresh bedding and lovely thick towels, plus a good supply of tea, coffee, and milk in the room. Breakfast was excellent, hot, tasty, generous, and ready on time. There were a few maintenance issues and cobwebs, which let the place down, but it was perfectly adequate for an overnight stop. Good for the price.
