Avonlea Hotel

We made a spontaneous visit and stayed one night. Sarah was a kind, genuine and very helpful host. The room had what we needed, with comfy beds, plenty of facilities, cleanliness and security. Breakfast was a full 10 out of 10! We’d absolutely stay again when we’re in Blackpool.

The bar was well stocked and very reasonably priced, with a pint of lager or beer at £2.00 and Strongbow Dark Fruit Cider at £2.50. Breakfast was gorgeous, plentiful and cooked perfectly at the self-service buffet, from orange juice, cereal and toast to a tasty full English. The showers were powerful and could get roasting hot, unlike the usual lukewarm ones we expect on a UK break. Beds were comfortable, and rooms adequate and spotless. My partner Jane, my son Jack, his wife Sarah and I had a great Saturday night stay for the Blackpool Airshow. Sarah and the team were first class and did everything they could to make the stay fantastic. I only wish we’d stayed longer, but there’ll be a next time for sure.

The Alondra hotel is just a short walk from the wintergardens, but far enough away from the crowds. We had a lovely stay there in February 2023. Our rooms were clean, comfortable and at a perfect temperature. The lounge was cosy, and breakfast was spot on, with a quick cooked meal and eggs made just how you like them. The shower could go from really hot to cold. Thanks for having us. We’ll be back next year.

Sarah was a fantastic host, always happy to help, and everything was spot on. The breakfast was fabulous, and the rooms and public areas were spotless. It’s a comfortable, welcoming hotel. What a find! We won’t stay anywhere else now. 👍💕
