The setting is a dream for a meal, with the windows and beer garden looking over a beautiful little inlet estuary and a romantic castle ruin across the water. Our group of 16 wild swimmers had dinner here on Saturday, and everyone thought the food was excellent. I especially loved my bean burger, full of flavour. Service was lovely, and the staff were warm, friendly and attentive. Well done, team!

We didn’t stay over, just stopped in for dinner and a few drinks, and we were so glad this place was open with so little else around. The mac & cheese and Lochranza burger were both amazing, the best meals we had on the island. It’s a bustling wee pub, and I can see why. The staff were so hospitable and friendly: they offered to fill our thermos when they heard we were camping, and checked with the ferry workers in the pub that our ferry would still be running in the morning.

We had a lovely Saturday night at the Inn, with a delicious curry and great condiments, plus the quiz. The quiz master was excellent, but I’ll keep quiet about how we did. Friendly staff made some excellent cocktails. Thank you, Peter. We’ll be back.

We went a few times while staying at the nearby camp site. It’s a lovely community run pub and restaurant, though I can’t comment on the rooms as we didn’t stay. The food was excellent, the beers well kept, there’s a decent whiskey range, and the service is warm and welcoming. There’s a good sized outdoor area overlooking the bay. Booking is advised if you want to eat, as it does get busy.

The food was delicious, and the setting is handy for Lochranza ferry and Lochranza castle. This community run pub and restaurant has very friendly, accommodating staff. Thanks for looking after us and our numerous four legged friends 🐾🐶
