We were happy with the basics: my single room was clean and tidy, the staff were pleasant, and breakfast had good choices. The restaurant was really good too. The walls seemed a little thin, so we could hear creaks and groans, though maybe that’s just how buildings in Scotland are. It’s a handy spot for exploring the Isle of Skye, with an Asda, CO OP and a cute little market right beside it, plus restaurants about a ten-minute walk away. Great value, and I’d stay again.

We had a really nice stay in a cosy hotel with friendly staff, lovely views, and several parking options, which made things easier. The window in our room, 222, wasn’t sealed properly and let in quite a bit of air, so it was cold near the window. We were only there for one night and didn’t want to bother anyone, so we covered the gap with a towel and stayed warm. Just something to know for the future.

The Co-op next door is very handy, and the staff were nice. The rooms were clean, but tiny and very basic, with the feel of a 1970s youth hostel or old folks’ home. The place has little atmosphere, and breakfast was plentiful but very greasy. For the price, there are better places to stay.

The food was the worst part for me. The chicken tikka was disgusting and made me feel sick, especially disappointing at £17, when I’d expect something top quality or at least decent. The haggis was mediocre at best, and breakfast with its cheap sausages wasn’t worth it either. I’d skip the food altogether. The hotel itself was okay, but poor value for the price. Rooms are small and basic, though the bathroom was nice. I also didn’t like the main door because it felt unsafe.

We brought our dogs, and there was a small charge, as expected. The room was spacious and lovely, with a great sea view, and the inside was clean and welcoming. The staff were really friendly. We ate at the hotel and the food was decent, as you’d expect in such a remote spot. I’d stay again if I’m up that way.
