Hebridean Inn

The views were amazing, and the room was warm, clean, and lovely, with a few nice little extras we hadn’t expected: tea, coffee, and very nice shortbread. We arrived a bit early, and a staff member explained the rooms weren’t ready. That was fine, since getting there too soon was our mistake, so we spent some time in lovely Broadfird. Cracking wee place.

I had no problems from booking through to arrival. The rooms are warm and cosy, and the location is spot on. There are places to eat nearby and a small Asda express where you can get fuel, snacks, drinks, and other things. It says it’s open 24/7, though I’m not sure whether that applies only to fuel. I’ll definitely come back.

I stayed for two nights in a one-bedroom apartment. It was quite nice and clean, and having a kitchen meant I could make my own breakfast with groceries from the supermarket. The noise was the main problem: the stairs are right behind the bedroom, so it got really loud when people came and went. I also had strangers try the door several times while I was inside. That made me feel unsafe, and the lock could be improved.

Nice rooms and plenty of parking, but the bed was covered in animal hair and stains. Disgusting, and it was quite noisy too.
