This was the worst place we stayed during our week in Scotland. It felt very overpriced, like a pub taking advantage of how busy Skye gets. The place is very dated, the carpet was grubby, and it needs some TLC. Breakfast on the first morning was a fiasco: there was no hot food, the toaster didn’t work, and the bread was mouldy. Staff seemed to hide from guests instead of explaining what was wrong. Breakfast the next day was OK, and the cook was friendlier. The young waitress at the bar on Thursday night was very nice.

There was lots of mold in the bathrooms, and I ended up sick. The food was good, though service was a bit slow. The interim manager was working from 8am until 10pm and deserves a raise. I’d recommend the place if they can fix the mold problem.

I stopped by for a quick bar meal at 6:00 in the evening, but was told they were very busy, even though it didn’t look that way, and asked to come back at 7:30. So much for a quick meal.

We were staying in Ardvasar for a few nights and went to the Inn for dinner one evening. The food was amazing, and the service was absolutely brilliant. They also provided a gluten free meal and dessert for my coeliac disease. I was impressed by how well they handled allergens.

We walked in for dinner without booking and were still kindly given a table in the bar. The Haddock & Chips, served with tartar sauce and garden peas, was one of the best fish and chips we’ve ever had. Highly recommend it.
