Sidhean Dubha Holiday Home

We only spent one night and wished we'd booked five. It was so relaxing that I was already planning a return trip just to stay here. The accommodation is excellent, nicely laid out, with ocean views from the front windows and a thoughtful tourist folder to help you make the most of your visit. I'd have given it five stars, but the owner gave my wife the third degree on the phone about something that was broken before we arrived, which we knew nothing about. That left a bad taste.

The view is beautiful, the rooms have cute little touches, and everything was very clean. Staff were super friendly too. We got there before check-in and our room wasn't ready, but they let us leave our bags and even gave us a chance to freshen up. The Sea View House is a lovely little hotel, only about a five-minute walk from Portree Square, close to the centre but away from all the tourist madness. Good value for the price.

The room was tiny, though it had everything needed. The shower was excellent, the bed was comfortable, and the view lived up to the name. Parking was passable, but might be a problem if everyone staying there had a car. I'd stay again.

We had a perfect weekend here with our family, and can't wait to come back. It's only about a five-minute walk into the centre of town, and most rooms have nice views of the bay. I'd give it more stars if I could.
