Our harbour-facing room had the sound of waves on the beach to lull us to sleep. All that was missing was the Desert Island Discs theme. The hotel has probably the best views in the islands, and the top-floor guest lounge makes the most of them. The staff were helpful and friendly. It's a two-star hotel, so keep that in mind and you may be pleasantly surprised. There are a lot of stairs, so it won't suit anyone who struggles with them.
The showers had a small problem during my stay, but the hotel warned guests ahead of time and offered free cancellation. The alternative arrangements worked well, so it wasn't an issue. If you're booked in and wondering whether to cancel because of the showers, don't! I've stayed here many times and always look forward to coming back. The people running it are friendly, welcoming and helpful, which makes it feel more like a small B&B than a hotel. The sea-view rooms are lovely for watching the boats come and go, and the food really is excellent.
It's a charming little hotel, full of character, and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good, and the quay is just a five-minute walk away. I'd happily recommend it.
We had stunning views from a location that couldn't have been more convenient. The staff were so helpful and even helped us celebrate a big birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
We felt warmly welcomed, slept comfortably, and found the whole hotel very clean. The staff were amazing and the food was great, especially the scrambled eggs, which are a must. They made our stay so lovely. I can't recommend the hotel enough.
