Cadleigh Manor B&B

I’m returning to Cadleigh Manor next week after staying there last night. Steve and Sharon are lovely, friendly and helpful, my room was great, and so was breakfast. They served far more food than I, or the other two guests, could manage.

The breakfasts are a big part of why we keep coming back. Sharon and Steve raise their own livestock and have beehives and fruit trees, so the sausages, bacon, apple juice and preserves are all made on site. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spotless and roomy enough for our family of four. They’re kind, friendly hosts who are happy to help with anything. We rarely return to the same place when travelling, but this is our go-to when we’re in the area, and its excellent reputation is well earned.

A short-notice search led me to the annexe at Cadleigh, and what a find. It was comfortable and just right, with thoughtful treats: homemade marmalade and shortbread, plus bacon, sausages and eggs. Sharon was a wonderful, helpful host. Each morning I had breakfast on the pretty terrace overlooking their lovely garden. I’d be very happy to stay again.

I had a lovely one-night stay and was warmly welcomed, with someone even carrying my bags up to the room. It was spotless, with fresh milk, lots of tea and coffee, a nice ensuite shower and good toiletries. The firm bed had high-quality bedding, and there’s free parking. Breakfast was excellent, and the service was friendly and accommodating. The owners grow or make their own produce. I’ll definitely return. Those five-star reviews are deserved.
