Premier Inn Bedford South (a421)

We haven't tried the food at Brewers Fayre yet, though we'd prepaid for it. The room was excellent, and there were two people at reception when we arrived, which was unusual. This is one of the best places we've stayed. Quaker Woods, with a lake, is only a short walk away and makes for a lovely stroll.

The room was great and I slept really well. We chose a Premer Plus room, and I thought the extra cost was worth it. Check-in was easy, and the staff were friendly and explained things clearly. Breakfast at Brewers Fayre was good too, with the staff being helpful and welcoming as always.

The hotel looks newly built, and everything in the rooms is in perfect condition. They were very clean and tidy.

I've stayed at plenty of Premier Inns, but this one has put me off for the foreseeable future. I arrived late and left early for my next appointment, so I didn't have time to raise the problems with staff there. I emailed Premier Inn about them instead. There was only one towel in the room even though it was booked for two. I'd already changed into my PJs and had to go downstairs to get another. This happens a lot, and it's irritating. Late that night, the toilet paper ran out, and nobody answered when we tried calling reception. In the morning, I found the previous guest's rubbish still in the bin, which made me wonder if the bathroom had been checked or cleaned at all. Ewww. The sink also wouldn't drain after I brushed my teeth. Premier Inn has been excellent and fair in my experience before, so this was especially disappointing. They apologized by email, but said I wouldn't get a refund or compensation because I hadn't reported the problems to staff at the hotel. They've lost my loyalty.
