We went for two nights from 13/4/26 to celebrate our first anniversary. There was a booking mix-up and my partner hadn't been added, so it looked like I'd be celebrating alone. He wasn't impressed! I phoned the hotel and Joanne sorted it straight away, even upgrading us. She and the rest of the staff made us feel so welcome and helped make the anniversary really special. We had a lovely hotel meal, and they surprised us with some delicious cafes and a written happy anniversary message. A waiter also offered to take a photo when he saw I was struggling to get one of us together. Breakfast was a delicious full English. The rooms were spotless, and when we asked for fresh towels, Joanne brought them up herself. She went above and beyond. The location was amazing for beautiful walks around the area. Windermere Lake is about 30 minutes away, as is Ambleside, which is absolutely breathtaking. We loved it so much I teared up when we had to leave. Thank you for making our anniversary so special ❤️

We could walk into town from here, and the views were pleasant. The room was small but suited us perfectly. Sadly, some other guests didn't keep the noise down.

We held our wedding reception here, and everything was brilliant from start to finish. The gardens are beautiful and so well kept, worth a visit on their own. The restaurant and staff were impeccable, especially the front of house team. Dinner was delicious and exceptional value for money. It's a really lovely place, with exceptional staff, and definitely worth a visit or a stay ❤️😉

We had Christmas Day lunch here, and the food was outstanding. The whole team were amazing and are a credit to the hotel. It's a brilliant hotel, the food is amazing, and the friendly staff go out of their way to help. I'd highly recommend it.
