GLENHOLME Kendal

Glynis was such a welcoming and helpful hostess. The breakfast was delectable, and she gave us clear driving directions to get where we wanted to go. We came back from a showery day at Westmorland Show with muddy footwear, and she kindly cleaned it for us. The hospitality tray was the best we’ve ever seen. I’d highly recommend staying in her home.

I stayed here for work and it was a fantastic little find. I’ve never seen attention to detail like this. Just look at the selection of biscuits, tea and coffee! Breakfast was amazing, cooked to order with butchers’ sausages and bacon, and Glynnis was so attentive and couldn’t do any more for you. There are thoughtful little touches everywhere: a bowl, knife and forks, and salt and pepper in the wardrobe for takeaway food; soaps that feel like good quality, which I’m led to believe from other reviews are M&S; plus a fridge, iron and ironing board. Parking is around the back and was a little tricky to find the first time. Go down Park Street, turn left at the White house and follow the road round. It was lovely to stay here. I’d recommend it and would come back. Thank you, Glynnis, for such a fantastic little place 🙂

Glynis is a wonderful, thoughtful host, and we’ll definitely return. The guest house is spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed, high quality toiletries and linens, and lots of extra things in the room, including M&S goodies, fresh milk and feminine hygiene supplies. Breakfast was superb, and the location is great for walking into Kendal. Thank you x

Glynis was friendly and welcoming during my lovely week at Glenholme. My cosy, comfortable room had everything I could need, and the toiletries were luxurious. I’ve never come across a better stocked tea and coffee tray in all my travels. Breakfast offered a great range, with plenty of healthy choices and delicious coffee. I’ll definitely stay again and recommend it to friends.
