We had a lovely week at Gosling Cottage Kendal in December, and it felt very Christmassy. Angela has thought of everything. It’s dog friendly and a delightful place to stay, whether you’re exploring the Lake District or catching up with friends and family, as we were. We’ll return.

We’ve been back to Gosling cottage three times now, and it really does feel like a home away from home. You can walk to the station, shops, supermarket, cafes and pubs in Kendal, and Windemere and Ambleside are an easy trip from there. The cottage has so many thoughtful touches, from the books and art to the kitchen kit and bathroom toiletries. Angela is always quick to respond, and we’ve never had any issues. I’d happily recommend it.

We’ve stayed here several times and both love this charming little cottage. It’s a lovely base for time in Kendal and the surrounding area. The host is very accommodating and happy to help with extra requests, including for a special occasion. We highly recommend it 💖
