There’s plenty of space for four, and the location in the Lake District is good. Just be aware that the rental photos are a little misleading about the setting: the cottage is in a caravan park, rather than out in the countryside.

We stayed in this lovely cottage last summer. The views were great, the furniture was comfortable, and the WiFi worked well. There’s a charming stream outside too. I took off a star because the downstairs tiles can get irritating underfoot if you’re not wearing socks or slippers.

It’s close to Windermere, with easy access from the A591, but far enough from the road that we couldn’t hear traffic. The sounds were just sheep on the hill and a faint stream nearby. This beautiful little cottage on Ings mill park was very clean, and I’d recommend it to anyone after a lovely Lake District getaway.

The cottage is in a good spot in a quiet area. We had views of horses at the front and cows at the back, and liked the quality furnishings.
