Topiary Cottage

The cottage is lovely and beautifully situated just off the main road. It’s only a one-bedroom place, but still feels spacious and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we could want, and the complimentary tea, coffee, milk and biscuits were a nice touch. It was clean when we arrived, though the bathroom bucket had been left unemptied by the previous occupants. We were able to enjoy the different outdoor seating areas thanks to the lovely weather. The location is handy for local walks, sights and attractions, and buses from the village go to the Lake resorts and beyond. The Watermill, Bar, Restaurant and Brewery is less than a five-minute walk away and well worth a visit for a drink, food or both. With the nice May weather, we had a great week.
