We had a fantastic time over Valentine’s weekend, and we’ll definitely come back. It was about 10 minutes to the aquarium and 20 minutes to Windermere. The staff made us feel so welcome and were friendly and helpful throughout. Our room was exceptionally clean and cosy, with plenty of tea and coffee for me, my husband and our toddler. We ate in the pub area, and the food was excellent, especially the berry crumble. There was indoor and outdoor play space for our little one to burn off energy before bed, and we also played pool and a round of darts by the bar. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay so welcoming.

The food was amazing, really tasty and nicely presented, and the staff were lovely and friendly. Our vegetarian daughter had the Moving Mountains veggie burger and said it was amazing. We went for a family meal and would definitely recommend it. Dogs are welcome too.

We booked The Gilpin Bridge Country Inn for a funeral tea for 60, and Debbie and Scott were accommodating from the start, responding quickly and putting together a varied spread to suit our requests and needs. Everyone who came said they enjoyed the food. The staff on the day were kind, welcoming and professional throughout. The venue works well for a large gathering, and seems just as suitable for individuals or smaller groups stopping for a drink or meal. Thanks for hosting us.

The portions are big, so arrive hungry. We only ate here, though the pub has accommodation too, with en suite rooms. It’s a beautiful place just off the A590, the food was outstanding, and the staff were very sociable.

The feathered steak is my new favourite. I’ve had two meals here while staying nearby, and the menu is great, with generous portions. I haven’t managed dessert yet, so I’m looking forward to coming back. It’s a friendly place for dogs and people alike. Thank you.
