3 Harney Peak

We booked number 4 for four people. There are two beds, an ensuite for the master bedroom, and another bathroom beside the second bedroom. Both bathrooms have heated towel racks, mirrors, top of the range showers, and lots of storage. The seating area is a decent size, with a table and four chairs, and the kitchen has all the necessary appliances. It’s stocked with cutlery, plates, bowls, salt, and pepper, and also has a fridge, dishwasher, drying rack, and washing machine. There’s a boiler if you want hot water or to warm the rooms. The equipment quality impressed us. Even the cabinets had John Lewis hair dryers with automatic lights inside, so you can see what’s in them without switching on the lights. The one downside was returning to the cottage because we’d forgotten something and hearing the cleaners complain that we hadn’t cleaned the freezer. We’d washed, dried, and put away all the dishes, made the beds, disinfected the dining table, put things in order, and left everything in its place, with only a few crumbs on the floor. Cleaning dishes, making beds, and putting things back weren’t our job, but we did it anyway as a nice gesture. The cleaners could have cleaned number 4 in about 10 minutes with two of them, but I guess complaining comes naturally to some people. To get in, open one of the key safes on the right side of the property using the code sent by email, then lift or turn the lock to open it. The keys weren’t labelled to show which door they went to, so labelling them might make things easier. We arrived at night in the rain, and it wasn’t pleasant having to try all the safes outside when that could have been avoided.
