The window looked out over the lake and fields, which was a great view. The rooms had a homely feel and an older style, while the bathrooms seemed recently renovated and modern. Breakfast was nicely presented and clean, with no grease at all.

Lovely views from every side of the hotel, and it’s in a perfect spot in Keswick town. On-site parking is rare there, so that was a plus. The staff were very friendly, and breakfast was delicious.

I loved being here over the August (2025) bank holiday. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. It’s a two-minute walk to the town centre if you cut across the car park. Breakfast was fantastic, with endless cups of tea. I didn’t get the name of the man on reception Monday morning, but he was a hoot to chat with, told us funny stories, and gave us the scenic route to Cockermouth. 👍

The hot breakfast came quickly and tasted good, and the mother and her two sons were extremely nice, welcoming, and helpful. It’s a family-run bed and breakfast style hotel. The rooms were reasonably comfortable, though a fan or two in each room would have helped with the comfort during this summer's heatwave.

The view is stunning, and the service feels warm and attentive. This is a charming, authentic English hotel that has kept its original character and atmosphere from years past. Staying here feels like stepping back in time in the best way. I’d highly recommend it to anyone who values tradition and history.
