YHA Keswick - Hostel

The bar has a great view over the river, and breakfast was tasty and good value. The facilities and location are great, very close to the town centre. Rooms were clean and tidy, with shared showers and bathrooms.

Breakfast was great value, and the rooms and shared shower and toilet facilities stayed clean even when it was busy. A great comfortable base for exploring Keswick and the surrounding area.

That little balcony over the river was a lovely surprise, and the sound of the water was just lush. We had an ensuite private room with two beds, which was very, very small, so I knocked off a star, but it was otherwise very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, apart from kitchen scissors I needed. I’m sure they would have provided them if we’d asked. The hostel was very family friendly, with activities for children and a water filling station that came in handy. The staff were warm, patient and helpful, especially with children. They kindly helped with our bags, which I really appreciated while travelling alone with two young children. We ended up here unexpectedly after car trouble left us needing a place for the night, and the YHA was a pleasant surprise. Thanks to all the lovely staff for a short but very sweet stay. We look forward to visiting again :)

The location right by the lake is stunning, and our room was very clean. Jude checked us in and was incredibly helpful. He suggested some brilliant hiking routes and good places for food and drinks. We had a great stay at YHA Keswick and would definitely come back!
