The family was fantastic, and the place had lots of room with a tasteful layout. The beds were comfortable, including the pull-out one, and the shower was really good. The rooms were cold, though, which could be down to it being winter. A portable heater in each room would have helped during the cold snaps. The bar is good too. Brilliant stay, and I'd come back and recommend it.
It was good value, and I'd book again. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and they arranged the early check-in I'd asked for. It was fairly quiet, as the place was almost empty in January. My twin room and bathroom were clean, and the beds were comfortable, though the room was a little dated. When I tried to shower, water wouldn't come through the large overhead fitting. It came from the smaller mixer shower attached to the rail instead. I had to leave before breakfast because it was Sunday and service started later than on weekdays.
The rooms were very nice and clean, and the staff pleasant. It's out of town, so we got a taxi back at night, which cost £8.50. There was plenty of breakfast choice, though we thought it could have been hotter.
There was plenty of space in the lobby, bar and dining room, and the hotel was clean. The breakfast setup had everything you need, but the evening meal wasn't very nice. My room was okay, though very dark and in need of a main light. It was cold inside, but freezing outside too. Given the quality, the stay should cost less.
For someone who travels around Europe and the UK for work, this place served the best breakfast I've ever had. But I'm new to driving an EV, and given the charging fines issued here, I probably won't return. Shame. Sort it out, guys.
