It’s surrounded by nature and old pine trees, with views of the Cairngorms out front and a secluded garden behind. We saw a red squirrel soon after arriving, along with plenty of birdlife. The apartment is connected to a grand Victorian house and is a beautiful, peaceful place to stay. There are easy walks into the hills and through ancient woodland, and Kingussie Golf Course is close by. I think it’s the best of the Highland golf courses.

We spent a week here while bagging Corbetts in the area. The apartment was comfortable and fairly spacious, with a small kitchen and washing machine, so we had everything we needed to look after ourselves. The hosts were very friendly.
